I'm looking for strategies to marry the 3PDT onto a PCB. I'm not finding a PCB version of that switch anywhere, so apparently I'll have to deal with the solder lug version.

The two options seem to be, either use a slot shaped hole for each lug or a largish .080" hole.

Can board houses deal with the slotted hole approach? Yeah, I'm reluctant to ask around.  I wish to maintain an illusion of competence for vendors - don't care if you guys know I'm ignorant.  :icon_rolleyes: Part of the reason for going to a board house is to get the nifty plated through holes, Just don't know if they can do the drill and plate through without drama (or worse damaging up-charges) in small runs.

The reason to avoid the big hole approach is that it makes routing that much trickier and demands smaller traces.

Does anybody have Eagle component definitions for this he's willing to share? Yeah, now I'm getting lazy, but thought I'd ask. I'll find something to trade for it.

Thanks for your thoughts.

I know that in several commercial pedals I have salvaged, the jacks have solder lugs (or something similar) and they make a rectangular hole in the board for them to fit into.  I think that means that there are at least some places that will do it.  No idea regarding cost, just saying I have seen it done before.

Railhead did these great little boards up for 3PDT hookup. Here are his threads dealing with attaching a standard 3PDT to a PCB (he went with larger holes). I've used his board and they work great. It's not a big deal to have the larger hole in the board.

Here's .sch and what not for Eagle:

Uh, that is almost exactly what I'm trying to do. Thanks.
