Hi,

I am building the EasyVibe by John Hollis and used this Geofex layout: http://www.geofex.com/PCB_layouts/Layouts/easyvibe.pdf
It sounds really distorted, and also adds a high pitched squeeling.
For the rest, the leds are blinking normally, leds 5 and 6 are on constantly,faintly. I checked polarity where appropriate, etc...
I have not changed any values in the components list.
I used TL072IP.

I checked all traces and soldering and they seem to be ok
Some measured values on IC3 and 4 seem a little odd to me.

Any help would be greatly appreciated !

numbers:

Battery measured at 9.47V

IC1 = U1 on drawing

1 4.54V
2 4.60V
3 1.18V
4 0V
5 4.57V
6 4.53V
7 4.54V
8 9.62V

IC2 = U2

1 3.40V ~ 5.38V
2 3.40V ~ 5.39V
3 4.54V
4 0V
5 4.51V
6 4.59V
7 4.53V
8 9.57V

IC3 = U3

1 3.48V ~ 5.37V
2 3.40V ~ 5.39V
3 3.50V ~ 5.36V
4 0V
5 4.53V
6 4.49V
7 8.50V <--???
8 9.46V

IC4 = U4

1 1.22V ~ 7.02V <-- ??? it goes from 3.40V to 5.60V or so, then drops to 1.22V and at the same time a humming sound occurs
2 4.54V
3 2.55V ~ 6.35V
4 0V
5 4.40V
6 4.60V
7 1.69V ~ 2.03V
8 8.80V <-- ??? shouldnt this read around 9V just like the other pin 8s on the other IC's?

Nevermind ! I solved it ..
Bad soldering on the R10 Resistor that goes to leg 7 of the 3th IC...
Sounds Great now !
