Alrighty, I have a pcb layout. Will someone look it over and let me know If it will work? The main spot I question is the 2n3906, the 6.8k resistor, and the 1k resistor. I'm not sure I even need them. I have the unisolated output always tied to ground no matter what.

Thanks, this has been a long time coming.... (I left the leds out)

Purty please can someone verify my layout?

RG, help!!  :) :) :) :)

I have this built and it doesn't work. I hadn't seen the power section schematic until today, but it's fairly proper as fas as I can tell. I'm pretty sure my problem lies with the transistor switching (that I don't even need as I'm doing it offboard) section. I've figured out that i have voltages where they need to be, although they are more like 6.5 to 7 volts rather than 9 volts at the tl072's. I've found that i get sound for a faint second as I plug in the output wires (only 1 at a time as of yet). So the sound is close to working just not yet. it sounds like the transistor is shutting as soon as signal hits... I've been making this for over a year for my buddy who has a million nice amp heads. Please help me get it finished....

I've been tinkering. I found the schematic on geofex about the maxx 1044. I didn't have that when I built the pcb. I've now removed the transistor and it's components. Now I've figured out that I have between the output of opamp 1 and ground as signal is next to none. I'me checking that at this point, I think it will work after i figure that out....

Alright, I think I can say I'm good on this finally!! Channel 3 has a bit of noise to it, and channel 5 is nearly silent. The other 3 channels, one of which is not transformer isolated work perfectly. if I only use 2 or 4 there is slight hum, but that's because there's no solid reference to ground. I'm sure if I always have output 1 connected to an amp from ground reference, the other channels will be silent.

I need to thank you RG for the geofex information. i've learned a ton in figuring this out, from the coolness of the charge pump to understanding somewhat how to use opamps. I've also learned schematic reading, which is making the rest a lot easier now.

thanks again!!

Found the last solder bridge and she works like a champ now!! I ommited the transitor section altogether, and my voltages are where they should be now all the way around!! I can't wait to hear these 5 amps together!! It's a marshall kerry king, bogner uberschall, dr. hector, engl powerball and something else I can't remember. it's gonna be intense!!
