DIY has unpleasant realities, such as that an operating soldering iron has two ends differing markedly in the degree of comfort with which they can be grasped. - J. Smith

Yes, and from what I can remember they're pretty reasonbly priced, with their largest flagship one being $230 ish, and that sectional board coming in at $170 (US dollars).
Sorry, not trying to imply I'm working for them, just saying. Compared to other commercial boards, it's not actually that bad, though still anything over $100 for a pedal board is too much for me, I'll stick with my DIY skills, thank you very much.

Yeah, I hear you. I can't pay the kind of prices that they are asking for these pedal boards, especially when none of them are anything like what I want or need.  :icon_confused:

I really hope you had a big fat beer after such a well done job. Heck, I might just have one on your behalf!

I haven't yet, but I should! Cheers!!  :icon_surprised:

That's some wonderful work. Where'd you get the felt bottom, and what is it's thickness? Thanks.

Yeah, even my wife complimented me on it! That's really something when that happens.  :icon_lol:

On the felt, it's pretty thin stuff actually. Certainly not the real thick kind of felt, this is more like a lightweight felt material. I got it at Joanne's, a local fabric store.

Jo-Ann Fabrics???  GAAHHH!   ???   :P   :icon_eek:   :icon_evil:   :icon_exclaim:  My wife and daughter love that place, but I avoid it like the plague...
...although they've got X-Acto knives that would sure do a number on PCB stock...   heh-heh...   :icon_twisted:

The cool fabric on my new ADA Flanger clone was also from there.

What a wonderful build. Was wondering:
1) Is it easy to find those aluminium angles for the edges?
2) How heavy is the entire piece?
3) How did you attach the felt? Is it sticky on the underside?

Thanks!

Here's your answers:

1) I got them from Lowe's. There should be something like that at any home improvement type store. IIRC, it was less than $2 for each 3 foot length of 1/2"x1/2" angle piece.
2) Empty, it's probably about 5 lbs. I never thought about weighing it.
3) The felt and outside covering were attached using wood glue spread thinly with a paint brush. I've used that method for several things now, and it seems to work pretty good. None of what I have done like that has failed thus far.

Awesome, thanks for the quick response!  This is the best-looking DIY pedalboard I've seen.  By the way, you don't gig regularly with your sewing machine pedal? :)

Cool, thanks for the compliment. Nope, I quite the sewing machine gig - not enough money or interest.  :icon_wink:

Well, to kill this "thread":  Did you run out of "material", or did it not "seam" to be working?   :icon_mrgreen:
