LEON.01

Just finished it and it doesn't work!
This is the layout i used;

I followed everything on the layout except the wiring, i am using a DPDT but it works when bypassed so the wiring isn't the problem.

Was told on another thread that there is an error in this layout and to check it against a schematic, Done that! and now my head hurts!!!  ??? Would help if i knew what i was doing! lol! Told it was an error around the 10pf cap and 1m resistor area, under the IC.

Any way, Heres a couple of Schem's and layouts i found, I cant fathom it out for the life of me!

Parts on left being used;

http://www.generalguitargadgets.com/pdf/ggg_dist_plus_sc.pdf
http://www.generalguitargadgets.com/pdf/ggg_dist_plus_lo.pdf

I tried! the only things i can really say stood out were, the 1m resistor at the top left of the layout used, isn't that a pulldown resistor? and shouldn't it be connected to ground? i.e going across only 3 strips not 4, to the jumper to ground.

The tantalum cap! not on any schem's or other layouts!

The diodes and the .001 cap, i feel thr should be a cut track up thr somewhere?! no?

And finally the section thats missing, as on the GGG layout!

If its not any of them then i didnt spot it, the part that was mentioned earlier(under the IC) looks ok to me, but then i am a noob!  ;D

If anyone needs voltage readings of the IC, let me know and i'll take them. Try anyway!  :-\

Cheers fellas!

Hi

another noob here  ;D , specially with  stripboards, but if you look at pin 6 it's connected to (GGG schem)
a Tantalum cap (c6)
a 10p cap (C5)
a 1M res (R8)

It is also connected to the electro cap on its left (C1 in the power section) , so it looks like there should be a trace cut at left of the 1m res.(R8)  (btw due to our net setup in the office I can't see the picture very well, low res, so I may be wrong :icon_mrgreen: ).

Cheers

Thanks Armando, I think i see it now, right where i was first told! (if i'm right!)  ;D

So, like this?;

arma61

yes, that's it.

I've checked also the diode/cap you mention, it looks ok, on top C7 is connected to d1+, then  connected to d2- connected to 10K then to pot, on the bottom they all (C7 D1 D2, pot) go to ground through the first jump (starting from the left)

cheers m8

Cheers Armando.  ;)
