hi, i know this subject was beaten to death and i searched the forum but didn't got a clear answer, i modded a BMP (triangle version) tone stack to the AMZ mods Version 2 of the presence control
http://www.muzique.com/lab/tone3.htm

it was a great improvement, i also removed the 3k3 and 25k pot and put a fixed 27k instead (not a big fan of the mid cut) i understand that there's a high pass filter and a low pass filter and the pot acts like a mixer between the tow filters, sadly i can't run the Duncan Tone Stack Calculator so i can't find which values to tweak :-(

i have two questions:

1) what would be the difference with using a 100k or 500k pot to act as the "mixer" tone control

2) what value should i tweak to get a little more mids out of this one (increase the 27k that replaces the 25k pot? or raise or lower a cap or other resistor?)

There should be two 4700pf caps in the tone stack. Change them to 5600pf for flat mids or 6800pf for boosted mids.
