Persistent switch popping in Paralooper

I use 2 paraloopers http://www.moosapotamus.net/THINGS/paraloop/paralooperSCH.gif in my setup for my delays (paralooper gives a perfectly natural sound - there is virtually no difference between effected and bypassed sound) since my amps don't have effects loops.  The only concern I have is that they both pop when switched on and off.  I searched here and read through many pages for solutions and didn't really come up with anything.  I have tried pulldown resistors on in, out, send and return as well as trying to filter the LED via muziqes method http://www.muzique.com/lab/led.htm .  It isn't the LED but I figured I'd give it a try.  There is DC voltage on the input and send and return...  is this just a design flaw with no solution?  Can I filter this DC out?   Any help is much appreciated....

Just for reference there is a solution for this.  This effect has a 1uf electrolytic cap at the input.  Based on another post http://www.diystompboxes.com/smfforum/index.php?topic=77662.msg646688;topicseen#msg646688 I came across the solution for anyone who uses this effect and probably has the same problem.  Due to electrolytic caps being inherently leaky a charge will always rush in creating the pop.  Using a 1uf non-polarized film cap solves the problem.
