Anyone know the part number for the locknut (and washer if possible) that fits on 1/4" mono/stereo jacks at either Mouser, Digikey, Jameco, etc.? Been searching but unsure and don't want to buy the wrong one.

The local hardware store doesn't have thin ones like those that come with the jacks, only the regular industrial fatty ones. I misplaced a few locknuts and washers and gave up hope on finding them.

Thanks.

No one ever lose a nut?

Guess I just gotta kill those damn desk gremlins that steal stuff and the floor gremlins that hide stuff when things drop.

Sorry, I'm no help with the part number cause I am able to buy most of my parts locally. But i understand about the gremlins. I went out and had to buy a whole new board mount 1/4 inch jack cause i lost the nut. Found it two days ago during spring cleaning. It hid for about a year. So if learn to kill the gremlins let me know what method to use. :)

You may want to check out: http://www.mouser.com/Search/Refine.aspx?Keyword=NRJ-NUT-MN

They fit the Neutrik NRJ series, but the open connectors are from the NYS series (and these are all standard AFAIK, so if it fits the Neutrik NYS, it should fit the Switchcraft open connectors). You will have to look at the drawings at Neutrik's website to see if the nut from the NRJ series will fit on the NYS series.

If you're not doing it for yourself, it's not DIY. ;)

I think your problem may be the terms you are searching for.
The nut is just a 3/8 "nut" not "locknut".
The washer you need is a 3/8 flat washer and if you want a
locking washer you need an "internal tooth" washer which goes
in between the enclosure and the jack on the inside.
