I am using this layout: http://www.aronnelson.com/gallery/main.php/v/album26/amz_super_buffer_4_out.gif.html

I already have my box wired up with 3dpt's with leds. The switches are wired right, but the as soon as power is connected from the super buffer to the power jack, the leds go off. I have gone over this thing over and over, what could be the issue?

This is frustrating, i just want it to work...

The layout isn't verified, it would be cool if someone could look it over for me.

Do you have a battery in there, then?  This sounds to me like you may have wired your power jack up wrong, more than something wrong with the layout on the board.  If you have a DMM, try plugging your power in and checking all the lugs on your power jack/circuit board to see if you're actually getting power, or if it's just a problem with the way the jack is wired.

If somebody makes a mistake, help them understand what went wrong.  Show them how to do it right.  Be helpful.  Don't just say "you're wrong, moron."

No battery. The jack is wired correctly. I'm guessing the layout has an error.
Here's how I know there's a layout issue...  I used my dmm to verify 9v on the power jack. I plug the buffers power wires into the board and check the same two lugs and the voltage dropped to 0.4 :icon_eek:
Something in the layout is shorting the power I presume. I am gonna compare the schematic to the layout tomorrow, but I'm a newb when it comes to schematic reading....

I'd suspect a solder bridge or similar. Also check the jumper in column 17 - if that's a row out it'd short.

I'm pretty sure there's no solder bridges, but I'll be sure to look. I've looked over and over and I have it layed out exactly as on the layout. This is kinda baffling, especially since I don't know the function of each part.

Thanks for the help:)

Maybe C1 is leaky or R9 (or R8) is of the incorrect (too small) value.
