Hi ,

I have a 24VDC unregulated power adapeter and I am trying to build a power supply filter which can filter out the 60Hz hum. Any schematics to share? The output voltage must be 24VDC.

Look at it this way- everyone rags on air guitar here because everyone can play guitar.  If we were on a lawn mower forum, air guitar would be okay and they would ridicule air mowing.

if you have 24V dc unregulated the 7824 would not work... it deserves a couple of volts more than the regulated output to work... maybe you can try with a LC filter (inductor-capacitor). the higher the frequency, the better its effect... so it will probably remove spikes from your DC, asnd reduce the 60Hz hum a bit. but the voltage loss is almost zero so you will keep the 24V output.
have some fun with duncan's amp's "Power Supply Designer"
