Hummmm...I can't figure it out with a 4PDT! Maybe you can make some kind of AB switching between both booster but you'll not gonna have the serial option tough.
Maybe with two DPDT toggle you can switch them on and off.

I have just finished my Gus NPN boost, with your veroboard Dan, and......OH my god !! this thing is so good !!! really cool Overdrive when the pot is at max.  I'll put it in a box and test it more after lunch 

I used a 33uF instead of 22uf  I haven't.

I told you! Even at low volume it's give this little thing to the sound...a kind of heat!  What, nobody ever eared about thermoacoustic?

Yeah it's good  and really quiet (quieter than my LPB1).

Anyway  I'll do the Mini booster ( I read a lot of things about it and I would try it by myself) and I'll see the one I prefere.

But adding a gain knob to the Gus NPN could be a great mod I think, the sound it produces with the gain pot at max is really nice. That will be great to transform it to a kind of Overdrive/Fuzz. Maybe in puting a voltage divider in front of the circuit (as jordan bosstone) and in removing the 5Kpot , the 47uf negative leg directely to the ground and a volume pot at the end.

I use a 2N5088 at this moment (I haven't the one mentioned in your layout)
