Is it ok to use these caps?

I ordered a ton of stuff recently. I got 100 1n caps, but wasn't paying attention and wound up with these huge caps rated for 3000v. I assume there's no problem using such vastly over-rated caps, but I wanted to make sure. I'm ok here, right?

I think it won't be a problem, but they must be enormous! Can't you change them?

Woah! 3K has got to be the size of a 9v battery no?
No reason they won't work though.

Good to know. I ordered some Sprague Orange Drops from Small Bear without noticing they were rated at 600v. Too damn big (for a pedal).

Or you could save them for building an amp  ;D

They are ceramic caps, and the dipped part is about the size of a 14 pin DIP. I might just wait until I get the right caps.

Damn Mouser for having BILLIONS of caps to choose from! The huge selection is what makes them great, but I also find myself with weird parts pretty regularly.

Mouser has an excellent return policy. Just call them up. I order some resistors that would be good for a cell phone, but too small for thr board I already had drilled and since the amount was not too much they told me to just keep them instead of shipping them back. They issued the credit and took the order for the right stuff all in one call.

Since I've breadboarded it I can only blame myself.
