This was my first time etching an enclosure. It was a bitch to say the least but still it was a faster process than painting/decal an enclosure. I think it turned out great. This is a re-housed BYOC OD-2 with the boost before the OD mod! (great mod by the way duhvoodooman) I also love the toggles on the back. I can really see what's going on with the toggles now. There's a red LED for the OD and a green LED for the boost. This was also a green build. Enjoy!  :icon_mrgreen:

THE BUILD

Transferring the image to the enclosure.
This took me 5 tries to get a transfer that looked good.

Soaking the the box to get the paper off.
I soaked it for hours then had to rub off the paper. I'm trying press and peel next time!

Etching the enclosure.
This was cool, it made me feel like a scientist!

Checking the process.
Notice the masking tape. It worked great for patching up bad transfer spots and keeping the sides of the enclosure from getting etched.

Painting the enclosure.

The sanded enclosure.
I was getting pretty excited at this point!

The re-wire.

Wow! Now that's a gut shot! I used plenty of wire for future tweeking!

Thanks for viewing!

That looks fantastic!  I'd love to try one of those some day, but right now I'm working on the insides...

Braided cables?  You sick bastard... way to make MY pedal lead dress look like crap!

If somebody makes a mistake, help them understand what went wrong.  Show them how to do it right.  Be helpful.  Don't just say "you're wrong, moron."

The pedal looks and sounds great.  Love your playing.  I did not need the braided cables to make my wiring look bad but it sure does not help.

biggy boy

Very nice job on the box and the playing.
