Hey all

Getting ever closer to actually building my pedalboard here...

One problem that I'm wrestling with is what type of switch to use. My current rig uses a variation on RG's pancake switch. The top of my board is made of wood, and I've countersunk holes in the top, mounted momentary contact switches in the holes, and epoxied a mousepad/countertop material actuator on top of that. My upgrade will be made of metal, so I can't countersink anything anymore. I like my current DIY switches because they are quiet (little acoustic noise) and comfortable (I don't need workboots to stomp them). It'd be a lot easier and more reliable if I had some type of soft touch switch that I could attach with a nut like the Carling type. Does anyone know if anything like this exists? Those switches on RGs pedals look sweet too, but I don't know if they're waht I'm describing here.

Thanks

That's too cool. Have you found it to be durable? I need 14 of these. It's funny when you get into building these custom boards that the biggest expense ends up being the switches and connectors. It's nice to be able to save some cost here and there.

I've seen RG's latching relay schem before too, but I don't need it to latch.

Thanks

I think this is what you want:

Silent, durable, inexpensive. I have sold a lot of them for tap tempo and such.
