Changing Output Caps - Bad idea?

Hello all just wanted to ask a general question...

Is there anything bad about changing the value of an output cap?

I built a boost that had a 0.1 cap that had a nice fattening kind of sound to it. I build another one which was pretty transparent so I added a switch that could add either a 0.01 cap or 0.0047 cap in parallel to fatten the sound.

Is this ok as a general practice?

Thanks!

In response to the questions in the forum - PCB Layout for Musical Effects is available from The Book Patch. Search "PCB Layout" and it ought to appear.
