Ok, it's been 'question week' for me here. I'm in my once-a-year pedal-building frenzy and I'm rehousing several circuits into newly refinished/labeled cases, as well as building about seven new pedals.

I've got a couple of GGG Guv'nor PCBs lying around and thought I'd give the Purplexed a whirl.
Is the Purplexed basically a Guv'nor with different part values? (i.e. can it be built on a Guv'nor PCB?) I know it uses 25k tone pots where the Guvnor uses 10k.

Anybody built both and care to comment?

Thanks,
Buck

You mean this http://www.aronnelson.com/gallery/main.php/v/guvnor-mod_-blues-pearl-perplexed/perplexed_schem.gif.html?g2_imageViewsIndex=1?

It's basically a Guvnor with a few component changes, I think the main difference is that the 25k gain pot will give it a lot less gain. I don't think the rest of the 25k pots will make much difference to the 10ks in the original.
I'm not really sure why it's got a buffer in front of it, because the input of the original is already a high impendance, so I'm pretty sure the buffer can be left off.
