Hi!

New here and here's my first question: Have anyone found "dial plates" for potentiometers (stickers or metal)? Line or number markings would do ... maybe thin oversized washers?

Thanks,

If you don't mind printing them out yourself, you can use this site:

Cool ... though not sure I'll be able to cut them out "nicely".

Metal and pre-printed, with an old school look, would be what I'm looking for.

Ohmite makes them and they are available through Mouser.

I tried using that page before but couldn't really make it work right.  I mean the graphics part worked fine, but by the time I sized it fit fit my Paint Shop Pro project it was so pixilated that the image was useless.  Have you done this successfully?  Any tips?

I draw my dial markers in Inkscape.  There's a pretty clear explanation in the Tips & Tricks Tutorial on how to do it.  You can make them any size and spacing that you need, and the really cool thing is that you can use any kind of marker you want.  Evil little skulls for a badass distortion, etc.  And it's all vector graphics, so no pixel artifacts.

The one nitefly mentioned is really nice.

I've used 'em for a bunch of stuff including a rangemaster clone:

I've been waiting for an opprortunity to get some of these cool NOS '60s Framus index markers, but they are marked V and T and B (vol, tone, balance)....
