Can you make sure I'm ordering the correct parts? (Bazz Fuss)

I'm about to place an order at mouser.com, but before I do it, I would like to be sure I am getting all the right parts. I can't believe how huge of a selection they have, and unfortunately for me, most of the parts don't have a description. This is going to be my first build, so I am not 100% sure if everything is right. I think I have accounted for everything, but I also want to make sure I'm not missing anything.  Here is the schematic I will be using, I want to make v1 and v2 : http://www.home-wrecker.com/bazz.html . I plan on putting another 100k audio pot (would that be the right value?) into it so i have a gain control and a level control and wiring it with true bypass with an led indicator.

Here are the parts that I already have (I know that these the right ones):
push on/off switch 3PDT
stomp box
10k and 100k resistors
input/output jacks
perfboard
battery snap

Now I'm not sure about my hookup wire. I got it at an electronic store, and they seemed to know what they were doing. Its got a cloth-like insulation that you can just slide down a bit when you are going to solder it, instead of stripping it, and when your done, you just slide the insulation right back up. Its 22 gauge, btw. Now I'm not sure what difference it makes, but I have read lots of contradictory material about wires. I've read that you need shield wire, but I've also read that you should use unshield wire. I'm not quite sure what the difference is, unless sheilded wire has insulation?

I also have some diodes that I got at radio shack. I was looking for 1n914, and didn't find a package that said that. I did find some diodes that said 1n914-1n4148. I'm not sure if these will work or not. Should I just get the 1n914 from mouser, or will these work?

And here are the parts that I plan on ordering: Please let me know if something is wrong, won't work, or if i am missing something. All of these are from mouser.com
313-4000F-100K pots
66-RC20GF102J 1k resistor
645-550-0204F LED
512-1N914 diode (unless the ones i have are the same thing)
610-MPSA13 transistor
610-2N5088 transistor
140-PF2A473J .047uf cap
140-PEI2A563J-RC .056uf cap
667-ECQ-V1224JM .22uf cap
140-PEI2A104J-RC .1uf cap
647-UVZ1H4R7MDD .47 cap
163-4302-EX dc jack- I have an Ibanez ac109 power adaptor. Would it work with this jack? I can't seem to figure out what polarity the ac109 is.

Missing anything? I'm open to any part suggestions, these are just what I picked out from mouser.com. I think all the parts are right, but I want to double check before I buy anything.

Thanks alot, sorry for the huge list of questions!

Hi Greek,

Sounds like your hookup wire should be ok. Shielded wire has an inner conductor with insulation, and an outer braid that encloses is, just like a patch cord.  The braid will shield the inner wire if one end is connected to ground, that's all. Not necessary for stomp boxes, but sometimes useful for really high-gain builds - for now, you are fine.

For basic parts, I'd just go to Small Bear electric, www.smallbearelec.com, and order from there.  Steve has his site set up for "us", offers good service w/good reputation, all the parts are geared toward FX and audio builds, so much less room for error!   Checking all those Mouser parts is a pain, I know, LOL.

Radio Shack sometimes has 'resistor packs', which have like 1,000 of the common values. Well-worth finding a set like that, if you get 2 you will almost never need to buy any resistors again!   It's more expensive to just buy them for 1 build...maybe on Ebay, too. I got a huge set of poly caps there, still using them 2 yrs. later...

BTW, 1N914 and 1N4148 are the same...transistors' names will be the same transistor anywhere.  With caps, it's mainly the size of them that counts. If you get a big voltage rating, it will be larger and then may not fit your enclosure, etc.

Check out small bear ;o)

I built this today in about 20 mins  :P(ill have to rebuild it later cause my soldering sucks) Also i added an extra 1n914 diode but it didnt make much of a difference to its sound.

Ill see if i can get you a sample of the sound when i figure how to put them on the net.

Great little effect, very fuzzy but dont hold your breath for any sustain ha ha

just a 2n3904. ill try it with one or two others if i can find them in my bits box.
