Wiring help for an Ibanez AD-80 (9v battery clips)

I have a very old but working AD-80. I need help in rewiring the dual 9v battery clips because the 'nonworking' 18v barrel plug has been removed. My first attempt failed so hoping that someone can help. I found a schematic but that didn't help. Now I'm thinking I may have inadvertently wired it to 'bypass' the batteries??

Basically I have 3 black or ground wires; 1 is connected to a pole on the Repeat pot, 1 to the Input plug 'near' the case and the other wire is attached at the 'end' of the Input plug.

1 red or positive wire is connected to the circuit board and the other red wire goes to the led.

How do I wire these to the red/black wires on the dual battery clips?

I had problems finding a 18v AC adapter so opted for a 1-Stop. This allows me to connect 2 9v battery clips to the Ad-80.
