1uF caps for the BSIAB II: any that are a decent size?

I'm building two BSIAB II's at the moment: one's a rebuild and the other is a new one that will incorporate AMZ's Presence Control/tonestack.
I've built these before, but all of the non-electro 1uF caps that I've found (needed for C3) are huge. Is anyone using electros for this one? Can that be done?

Or is it ok to use non-polarized electros for those, instead of film?

Thanks,
Buck

Multilayer ceramics are tiny tiny tiny, cheap, and pretty good.  And tiny.

Yeah, but are they tiny? Thanks man, I'll look into those.

If you're looking for a good 1uf film cap that isn't huge, I recommend the Panasonic 50v ECQ-V series.  The mouser part number is: 667-ECQ-V1H105JL.  These caps are very easy to fit into a layout that has space for a 1uf electrolytic cap... and they aren't overly expensive.

The French connection

I know, but the pedal i built does not boost...it just increases volume!

Thanks - those were back-ordered and I went with something else.

I use those. Work like a charm and they are really tiny.

Digikey carries these as well.

I got mine from small bear. http://www.smallbearelec.com/Detail.bok?no=168 They fit just take up little more room than the lower value box style.
