Hey everyone! :)
I once built a Boss DS-1 for my friend, and he doesnt need it anymore.
I'm a bass player, and i tried to plug it in but is tounds like my bass is farting :P
Is there any mod to do to make it sound decent?
Thanks, Shachar :)

A clean blend is a must for bass distortion, IMO. The stock DS1 has a lot of gain, I would try and lower that a bit and change input/output capacitors.

This may be a bit more complex than you were looking for, but if you cut the lows before the distortion, then mix a clean lowpass filtered sound, you get a much more usable effect for bass.

http://www.muzique.com/news/fat-mod-for-the-boss-ds-1/ reduces the gain of the pedal a lot and cleans it up a fair bit, as well as making it much less nasal and piercing.  You could try that, because it's a really simple mod.  PM me if you want me to send you a mix of common DS1 mods and explain what they all do.
