hi there

I have a slightly off topic dilemma I was hoping I could get some help with.....here goes!

I have a friends shure 55sh that I am attempting to add LED's to for the sole purpose of lighting the mic up. I am using the 48v phantom power to do this. I have them in there and it works fine....but now when I turn on the phantom power the mic will make a loud "pop" when you use the microphones switch to turn it on and off. Using the mic in normal, non-phantom-lighted mode is fine....no pop. Can anyone out there help me out with the popping issue? Is there some way of adding a decoupling cap. to solve this? Thanks!

on a side note.....when the phantom power is on you lose a bunch of low-end response as well. hmmmm anyone?
