Recommend me a simple circuit

So I want to build a two circuit little box. First circuit is the Trotsky Drive. I'm looking for a 2nd circuit.
The main idea is to have two low gain boosts/overdrives in series.
Simple, low parts count circuits are preferred.
- DOD 250 (this is about as complex as I'll go)
- Trotsky
- Dragonfly Sparkle Boost
- Colorsound boost/overdrive

I have a 308, 741, some j201, 2n2222, a couple more NPN transistors.

The beginner project is one of the nicest boosts I've ever put together--utilitarian, and would sound great pushing a trotsky.

The AMZ mosfet booster or The gus NPN could be good first project.

I have really come to love the Trotsky (with a few mods of course) but only with a buffered pedal (or buffer) in front of it.  The Trotsky w/ a Sparkle Boost would be great.  I have both on my board and use them together just like what you would build. 

I recommend some asym clipping on the Trotsky, and... I can't remember the other mods I did.  I think I did like the 2n2222 better than the 3904 in it...  sorry.  PM me if you want my mods and I'll crack it open.

The Sparkle Boost is a great design.  I didn't have to change anything on it.  LOVE IT!

My trotsky is stock and I really like it.
