Neovibe problem

My neovibe worked great probably about a year, then suddenly quit.  I took the board out and removed the light shield.  No light.  I discovered that when I unplugged the output cord going to my tube amp the light started working.  Plugged it back in and the light went out and bad hum noises.  I tried it though my ruby headphone jack and it worked, sounded good(vibing) but was made kind of scratchy noises when I first touched the strings.  I went out of town for a couple days.  When I came back I tried it through the ruby into a speaker and it worked great, no scratchy noise.  I then tried it with the tube amp and it worked great for about three minutes, then a POP and the light goes out and starts bad hum again.  Back to the ruby, works great, no hum, no scratches.  I then plugged into my solid state bass amp and the light dies; amp wasn't even turned on yet. Back to the ruby, works great.

I don't know what to do at this point.  I suspect a bad electro capacitor but this thing has so many I need to narrow it down a little.  They all look okay.  The 1uf are 50 volt and the 1000uf are 35volt.  The two 10uf are 16volt.  Schematic shows 10volts going to one.  Not sure about the other one but I'm guessing less than 16v to it(just occurred to me I should measure it).  Power supply is ggg 4 output isolated putting out 17.9 volts 100ma.

I am guessing/hoping someone with more knowledge than me can figure this out in about 2 seconds and would really appreciate any help on what to try.  This is one of my favorite pedals.

How are you providing power to the Neovibe?

In response to the questions in the forum - PCB Layout for Musical Effects is available from The Book Patch. Search "PCB Layout" and it ought to appear.

I'm using the general guitar gadgets 4 output isolated power supply.  It puts outs about 17.9 volts/100ma.  I have a 24v dc wall wart. I'll try it and see if it makes any difference.  I'll also try another output because I think this problem started when I plugged my pt80 and ada flanger into the power supply.  They both work fine.  I may have moved the neovibe to a different output.

It's just weird to me that the board seems to be working perfectly until I plug it in to an amp.  Also weird it works fine with the ruby.  Seems to be grounding out somehow but why not with the ruby?

Thanks R.G.!  I tried a different output and it's working now, whew.  Still not sure why, because I measured 17.9 v coming out of the supply.  But the main thing is, it's working!
