hi guys ,
i was servicing my old jen wah and broke the switch shaft [ plastic ] while using pliers to loosen hexagon nut.
i put in a dpdt switch i had lying around but now the output volume is weak and tone also suffered. i dont need true bypass i just want an ordinary switch to get her working again.
i have looked on e bay for a replacment but cant see any.
the broken switch has 4 lugs. i tried wiring a 3 lug switch i had [ spare from a newer jim dunlop wah ] and couldnt get it to work.
can anyone recommend a good replacement switch with 4 lugs or can anyone tell me how to wire the 3 lug switch if its feasible?
many thanks guys-
bob

That's weird, replacing the switch shouldn't do anything to your signal level or tone. The SPDT switches that Dunlop currently uses should also work just fine.

You must be wiring them up wrong or something. You can verify how to wire the switch by using a continuity checker.
