howdy,
is there a way i can adjust the depth in my byoc tremolo (2 knowb version)...?  i've seen nothing at the website that helps.
basically the depth of the effect isn't strong enough when that knob is maxed out.  the trem efefct only ever sounds moderate to subtle but i want to be able to have it much more strong and present.  any help appreciated.  cheers

Did you make it from their kit, or did you just get a board/perf and use their schematic?  If you look at the posted build manual for the tremolo, they show R8 as 100k when it should actually be 100 ohms.  That would make a huge difference in tremolo depth.

The way the circuit works is that the resistance to ground from the R8/R9/C3 junction is 1k for all audio content when the JFET is off.  When the voltage from the LFO sends the JFET resistance low, then the path to ground for C3 should become lower than 1k and increase the gain of Q2.  If the JFET's resistance does not drop down that low, there are maybe a couple of things you can do.  One is to change that JFET for another of the same type that might  produce a greater resistance change.  Another is to maybe stick a fixed resistor from the C3/Q3 junction to ground so that the resistance range produced by Q3 is shifted downward.  Try 47k and see what happens.
