Has anyone tried this before? Was it a good match? I was just watching some videos of Ruby amps and got to thinking... I have a boat load of 12AT7 tubes... just got some more sockets in the mail... I have a 386... Maybe I could make a little tube preamp'd amp out of this stuff. So has anyone tried something like this or maybe someone with a Ruby/Little Gem and a Valvecaster wants to run them together and report back how it sounded. That seems like it might be a fun little project. Maybe even recreating the first stage of a fender Bassman or Champ in starved plate mode as the preamp to the 386 amp. I realize this is pretty much just rambling ideas but... I hope maybe someone will have something to say about one of them!

Something similar to that, a nice tone !
I had the arrangement of a Shaka 12ax7 into an LM386 amp.
