If you have troubles making the board out of the PDF:
- just use any of the free on-line convertors, convert it to a picture (jpg/gif)
- open the jpg/gif file in some sort of a graphic application and  decrease the colors to 2 and save it as tiff
- if you're having made a transparent foil print to make the PCB also negate the colours and flip it sideways so the print will be on the bottom side of the foil when they are about to make the PCB.

That works for most of the PCB makers.

Certainly is an exemplary Forum Vibe.
"I'm not gonna build another phaser but I've got to take a looksee at what John's prepared here".
Great reads ! Whether considering a phase build or not, this is a superb medium for such an informational based on experience and knowlede.  In this case there are a number of interesting ''what matters and why'' topics covered, bulbs, transistors, capacitors...
Taking what's learned to another level, that's the Forum Vibe !
WoW ! Thanks Brad, JC, John !
Convention creates following, following creates convention.

I'll reload the files on my server under the same address...not sure what happened there.
Sorry guys...

John

How are you able to modify a post from 6 months ago ?
I cant modify mine after 24 hours...
I noticed several other posters are able to go back and change thier posts, schematics and links, days even months later yet I have a different time frame for doing this... ??? :icon_evil:
BTW thanks for sharing John

What I do is use an image / file from my own server.

The link to that file cannot be changed after 24h on this forum. However, I can change the file on my server, as long as I keep the same filename.

I guess John is doing the same.

Brymus

Ah that explains it. :icon_idea:
Thanks for that tip Auke ,DUH  :icon_redface:

Hi.
I 've found an error on the pdf: on page 24, the 'alternate bias connection' drawing is wrong, the jumper shorts the bulb. I think it should connect the upper pad with the bottom pad, not the middle one...
Thanks, and excuse my bad english.

The error is still there...

John Lyons

I did not make the diagram so I didn't correct the error.
Contact brad (in the first post) as it's his work.
I just reloaded the full PDF as the one I had posted was not complete.

Hi.
Can anyone confirm that R46 is 47K? In the original schematic is 4K7 and these are very different values...

Ok. I answer myself:

4K7, as you can see.

John Lyons

I didn't look yet but it is wrong in the schematic and the layout (forum vibe)?

Yes, but not only in the forumvibe schematic. I've found several schematics with both values, so I went to look at the 'real thing'. I thought maybe it was a mod along with the addition of the offset trimmer...

yeeshkul

I've got some older Forum Vibe schematics and there is 4k7.

Just gave birth to a new ForumVibe!
First off,I decided to do some upgrades and make it interesting along the way..now since Vibes at times can work well
with a good '69 or fuzzface Germanium FuzzBox and the order of those effects can really change the sound, I decided to incorporate R.G.'s 4PDT cool juggler switch onboard to make
things interesting, complete with its red/green Leds for the effect order. It self bypasses when not used by using a NC input jack.
Flipping the juggler switch will thus take you instantly from a Trower sound to a Jimi at Woodstock very cool
without messing with cabling. After that, I added the standard red power LED mod at the Volume knob,a dual Green/Yellow
LED ala Chorus/Vibrato indicator mod (green for chorus mode)at the Intensity knob, and an Orange LED speed mod at the speed knob. Things were a little tight but it all went into a 1790NS quite well..Its a must to keep jacks out of the way so they are all at the top...All audio paths are shielded for no noise throughout.Used the Silonex NSL-7530s LDRs with a mirror in the pipe cap.The  ForumVibe lamp offset mod is wonderful and really lets you get it tuned in well.Added a balance mix pot onboard for more accuracy, and a CalRad 600ma 24V wallwort to a daughter board regulator..... Whats the saying?  Its in there! ;)

http://kiwi6.com/file?id=f09p7sinpg is just a fast clip of the lone ForumVibe off, mid ,heavy and Ill try to post a clip of the juggler flipping when I got more time.
I really gotta thank Brad Burt for his entire marvelous ForumVibe Project, and of course the "Godfather" of the Univibe, the ever so helpful and electronically astute R.G.Keen
for all his advice and countless Mods,JC Maillet and his great website, also, all the helpful people at PedalParts Plus, John Lyons of Basic Audio for his always superb PCB creations, and Steve at Small Bear Electronics for his endless essential hardware supplies for all of us....Vibe on! Come on OmniVibe!

jota.ventura

Cool.
I would have used a jack to connect an expression pedal for the speed, this improves it a lot, but I guess now there's not enough room for it...

Yes R46 is 4k7, it was an error in my documentation.

Sorry for the late reply, I didn't see this thread until now.

I'm re doing the whole documenation, going to be on the web now no more PDF's (with errors) floating around on the internet.

I'm still making the pages so be patient, will have it all done as time allows.
