Any one build this one and have any impressions to share?
Quite a bit different than the Big muff type Foxey Lady.

Oh, ok...It does resemble the companion but this one has the emitter bypass caps.
I'll have the breadboard it, simple enough.

I was thinking of bread boarding this a few weeks ago.  Any ideas for 2N5133 substitutions?

The Companion and, similar circuits sound good with pretty much anything.
2N2222A, 2N3904, and even 2N3903s (mine are 50 +/- hfe!) sound good in there.
Anything around a lowish hfe should be good.

The bias network used will allow a range of hfe to work.  I would try >200 hfe ones to start.
