Here's the schematic (last page) http://www.angelfire.com/planet/bluesdeville/robert_kelly_fuzzhead.pdf

I used an AC187, but the guitar signal decays so quickly at the end. This is probably due to bias. Where can I add a trimpot to bias the transistor so that the sustain will be smooth>?

The darlington pair is messing me up so I can only guess but I would think R11 or between pin 1 and 9V of Q2. That is guessing based on the normal place for bias trimmers on Tonebenders and fuzz faces. I was hoping someone who knew for sure would throw you an answer but at least your post is now bumped up.

Not sure but my guess is the bias of both transistors needs to be adjust simultaneously.

How would I go about doing that Chris?
Any ideas?

EDIT: Replacing R11 with a 200k trimpot seemed to do the trick for me. I made it hard on myself by choosing not to breadboard first, and buidling straight to pcb.
