First (completed) build - Barrel of Mediocre Tone

Hello everyone, I've been lurking for a while now, but I just wanted to show off my first build. It's just a Smokey amp in a Barrel of Monkeys container.


I need a way to mount the battery to the lid...

Very cool idea, how about mounting a little speaker that could be switched out if you are using a larger cab in one end of the barrel...

awesome first build! you can use a battery clip and some adhesive to mount the battery in the lid. they're available at every electronics store, and many places online.

Nothing sadder than a bunch of barrel-less monkeys... Just lying in a pile, all tangled up.

Hmmm, I hadn't considered that. While I applaud joelindsey's excellent work, I feel that if this thing ever went into full production it would open the floodgates to a critical loss of habitat to a species already on the endangered list.

That looks like more fun than a barrel of, err, cardboard city full of homeless Monkeys all drinking Meths from paper bags, as they lament the loss of their natural environment.  Still, at least it wasn't a 'Box of Frogs' - that would be silly.

The key question that nobody seems to have asked is whether what you replaced them with is, in fact, more fun than what was there before.
