Looking to make a Big Muff Pi Triangle for my first DIY stompbox, as found on gaussmarkov joy of a blog

Just wondering if someone could confirm that with this PCB the middle lug of the level pot would be the output to wire into the 3PDT? (and if so is this common with most pedals with a level pot?)

The schematic shows the volume pot wiper [middle lug] connects to a switch lug, a throw, it's pole connects to it and the output jack when in 'effect' position.

Convention creates following, following creates convention.

So, based on this wiring diagram, the blue wire would go to the 'IN" on the PCB, and the yellow wire from the switch would go to the volume pot?

Yeah :)

That was actually back in 2006--I was on my last Spring Break ever. I planned a trip spanning 63 miles of the Appalachian Trail near my hometown in PA. We ended in Pine Grove Forest at a little campground my parents used to take me to when I was little. I smoked that pipe for most of the hike. It was nice to have with the 6-pack of Yuengling I hid in a stream at trail's end as a surprise for my trail buddies--it's a neat trick--tie a slipknot around each bottle cap using the same length of rope, then lower the string of bottles into a fast portion of spring-fed creek. Nobody will notice 'em, and they'll be as cold as you can get without a fridge in the woods :)

Anyway--that's a long story to say, yes--that's my pipe. My first one. I have a bunch more now--my wife gives them to me as birthday gifts because they make our house smell good  :icon_cool:

I find myself slightly disturbed that such a forum actually exists, and have found myself browsing the threads out of morbid curiosity, only to find that they are exactly like us, they just smoke pipes. And discuss pipes. And make pipes. Cool! Peterson 120 mojo! 8) There's a whole other world out there!

It's true...weird. Makes me curious about what other forums might be out there with people in them who are actually nice, and not overly pretentious.

Then again, we all know that Rick is a closet tube-sniffing bastard, and the very epitome of pretentiousness. Oh yeah. Mangy dog, my rear.  :icon_cool:

Pipes do smell good. If it wasn't for the whole smoking is bad for you/makes your insurance shoot up then I would probably consider it. I had some friends whose dad smoked a pipe and I liked to go over there just to smell the house  :icon_razz:
