Valvecaster PDF, does it exist?

Hi All,
Can somebody clear this up for me, I want to build a valvecaster with 6111 sub-mini's. I wasn't on the forum when it all went down, so for three days I've been reading my way through the threads and I'm getting more confused than clever. I caught a reference to a PDF file where the final results of research were encapsulated. Does this exist?
Ideally I would like to build on perf, and retain full function of the valvecaster while adding the vibracaster possibility. Since this will be my first tube build I would like to have a clear layout to work with.
I could just hassle Rick for info (he is very generous with his time) but perhaps some other kind soul could post me a link so I can get things clear in my mind before I have to trouble our resident Tube Meister on specifics.

       Thanks

Hear that, Rick, you're the Tube Meister. :icon_biggrin:

And he just linked to the thread where he was the Tube Noob
Unless it's a subtle hint to start with the basics, I may be missing the point.
Nice to see where things started out (I didn't know there was a Subcaster) but how does it help me on my quest?

All I could pick out was that Sub and Valvecasters are the same circuit? but with different pins used. Unfortunately alot of schems are missing at the moment, photobucket pics not available so I can't really see whats going on.

I'll come back when I'm not so tired, maybe it'll make sense

Here's the 6111 Vibracaster schematic from my gallery, it's a 'tremolo only', ie it lacks the Gain and Volume control of the Valvecaster/Subcaster:

Here's the Subcaster:

You can probably see that it's pretty easy to 'merge' the two schematics into a 6111 Vibracaster with a 100K Gain pot instead of the fixed 100K resistor at the cathode of the first triode, and by replacing the fixed 100K resistor at the output with a 100K pot configured as a voltage divider for the Volume control.

I've never posted a layout for the Vibracaster in any of it's versions - I just built mine straight from the schematic onto the perf without using a layout. If you wish I could put one together for you, but it would largely depend on how you want to box it up as to how it would be best laid out.

BTW, the 6111 Vibracaster states a 19 ohm / 3 watt resistor is needed for the heater's voltage drop resistor, in reality an 18 ohm /2 watt will be fine, and easier to source, Banzai stock them for example.

Fabulous, now it makes sense, I'm waiting for my tubes to wing their way in from West Virginia, so I will try to figure out a layout in the meantime. I'm feeling the urge to make a custom copper enclosure for this one, the copper sheet is winking at me at work every day!
I will have a stab at it and then perhaps you could just give it a quick once over for me before I solder anything up.

Many thanks Rick
