Hi guys,

Since long time I'm really interesting about that pedal, the schematic shows a "SHARP" (kind of "photo-JFet") linked into the feedback loop of the AOP which create the distortion. What's the role of that sharph ? Giving a gain level egual to the one which  inters in the first stage ?

Exept that point, the circuit is just a "proco rat" distortion.

If someones could explain that part.

Thanks in advance!

I know, but the pedal i built does not boost...it just increases volume!

This time it has more to do with the Shannon entropy... :-[ ???

Shannon, the girlfriend of Markov...
Queueing theory... my materials teacher was working with that stuff to make "software previsions" on how some electrons might find a path in the material being observed under the electron microscopes.  His software was called Casino (Raynald Gauvin).

But the guy was just talking hockey during the class.
And I know nothing about hockey  :icon_sad: .
And I am again OT and I had a "D" thermodynanics...
So let the expandoration of enthropy follow it's way.

I don't know if any of you are old enough to remember, but there was a character in Walt Kelly's "Pogo" comic strip, a turtle specifically, named Churchy La Femme.
Pogo is the author of this famous phrase:

Somebody would say Mother Nature, she is everywhere and everybody.

Did not know this comic: but you can read there (clic next page).

I recently saw an election sign for Cletus Flaming!

I have wondered if there was a simpler way to achieve a "similar" effect of expanding the attack with less complex circuitry.  Any ideas?

Also, if you remove the expansion circuit, using 2 op amps for the Rat part is an interesting variation.  ;)

Yup, a classic! Am I old enough to remember Pogo--pshaw! 'Soon as I get my teeth in an' my spectacles on, I'll tell you a thing or two about Walt Kelly! (Coughs, spits into glass...) Anybody old enough to remember Jimi is old enough to remember Pogo, and Pogo was delivered to your door every Sunday.

Has anyone every built one of these? Looks like a sort of standard clipping type distortion with a built in compressor, similar to the Flatline.
