Hello,

Sometime ago I've bought from a friend an Ibanez Metal Charger MS-10 (http://www.aronnelson.com/gallery/main.php/v/Schematics-etc/ibanezms10.gif.html).
I don't like anymore his sound (I bought it because it has 4 old JRC4558 in...) and I've started to modify it in the clipping sections.

Now it sounds better, but still it's muddy or better said, without definition.

Anyone has some ideas about how to make it better?

Thx all!

The input and output cap seems enough big...so from where comes this not very well defined sound (too much mids, I think)?

try removing d3,d4,d5,d6,c12. add a diode in parallel at d1 and d2. change c21 to .44, and r11 to 1k.
I forgot what I was gonna say here.

Thx a lot flintstoned!
I think that you wanted to say C11 to 0.47, not c21 to 0.44. Am I right?

nope, c21 to .44. let me know how it works out g.
