Paranoid about capacitor values

I ordered a 0.033uF (33nf) boxed film capacitor from futurlec last time and I got this:

I also asked for a 0.0022uF (2.2nf) cap and I got this one:

Can anyone confirm if they sent the correct values? I am getting really paranoid here, especially after I  used them to build a bizarre sounding dr.boogie.
I find their value marking convention super confusing.

Thanks.

They are both the correct value.  The caps are showing the values in different formats.
.0022uf, 2.2n, 2n2, 222 and 2200 are all the same value cap.  .033uf, 33n and 333 are the same cap values also.

These are why capacitors can be stamped with different numbers:
0.0022 micro farad
2n2 or 2.2n nano farad
222 cap code
2,200 pico farad

Thanks. The error is somewhere else then.

I just bread boarded the Dr. Boogey last night.  Mine sounds awesome although I used a single knob tone control.  I used the BSIAB II tone control on my DB at this point.   I'll see if I can help as long as the problem isn't in the tone section.

When in doubt, just check it on your meter? (you have a multimeter don't you?).

I have a cheapo meter that can measure only resistances/voltages and currents.

@oldrocker

I will post clips when the drboogie is recorded just before the tone stack(sound tapped at 'Q5'). I will let you know when I do this. Thanks for your help.

You could also buy and build this cheap (under $9.00) capacitance meter kit.  I built it a month ago and now I test all my unsure caps like I do resisters with a multi-meter.

Is that more accurate than testing caps with a multimeter?

oldrocker

I'm not sure.  My mult-meter doesn't have a cap tester mode.  As far as I've seen so far this thing is spot on.  As for leaky caps this meter kit won't test for that I don't believe.
