Physical noise from switch in wah pedal?

I used a 3PDT switch in the wah pedal and the noise is too much. I have heard the Alpha switch Steve Daniel has is quieter. I will try one and report back.

The funny thing is the switch noise seems louder in this particular pedal than my other pedals.

Any observations or advice?

Thanks.

Really don't know why, try with a little WD40!

The clang is produced by a strong spring returning the sliding button of the switch to it's original position. Clang is a result of metal to metal contact. I'd have to bath the switch in WD40 to slow up the clanging sound.

This pedal has the felt stuck to the top of the pedal, it is compressed as you'd expect from some use, some how it produces a louder contact noise than my other pedal which has had similar use. I find this all a bit strange as I have normally just had to replace the switch and adjust the height of the switch. Most unusual! :icon_eek:
