I know, but the pedal i built does not boost...it just increases volume!

What does the "clip" control ? Isn't the pot remplacing a 470K resistor in a gain stage (the one between collector and base ) ? Really effective ?

I predict this thread getting HUGE!

The Clip mod on mine is a 1M pot between the diode pair and the collector of the first clipping stage transistor. It reduces the clipping of the stage, so some cleaner tones are available. Nothing groundbreaking really.

Vero layout from the Gallery here with Skreddy mods. BC239c transistors right now, but I also liked the MPSA18 in this.

In progress my very first muff its justa standard muff using tonepads layout. just waiting on the 2n5088s to come from the USA. I have 2n3904s but decided to wait for the right thing. I also have 5 other pedals part made, maybe i should just stick to one ata time.
