Which diameter solder braid?

I am about to do an order and I'm going to give braid another chance...
Seems there are many choices from 1.5mm upwards.
So what do people find most useful? 2mm? 2.5?

I find the thin stuff too fiddly and it obviously gets used up more quickly.  So, my advice is to go for as wide as you can get.

I had a chance to work as a helping hand of a seasoned repairman, and when he needed such stuff I noticed it was much thinner what I had used- He told it was because he wanted thin pcb tracks and pads not burned while desoldering
