I really recommend diving into Mouser's search and learning to navigate it. I know it kind of hurts at first, but it's actually the best search of any distributor IMO, and it will get very intuitive for you after a little while.

Couple tips:

Most caps are marked as "uf", rather than μF, when they are above 1NF, and as PF when below, but sometimes you find, for example, 1NF caps marked either .001uf or 1000pf,  by different companies, so watch for that.

Always make sure you're buying through-hole and not SMD parts. I think everyone has made this mistake once or 10 times. Learn the abbreviations for SMD vs. through-hole package types, so you don't mess up.

and if you buy SMD parts, make sure it's a whole bunch of resistors or something, and not a bunch of MAX1044 charge pumps.  :icon_rolleyes:

I realized after posting that that I had never even tried searching for caps in "μF", so I did and it comes back with 0 results.

those should be available at effects connection or small bear.

Digikey works well for those of us in Canada, so to find a 1µF metal film there it works like this.

11,00 film caps offered so need to do some filtering- 1µF and Through Hole to start and check   In stock.

Still four pages of results to sort through but we usually want the smallest through hole components available so highlight the lowest few Voltages offered and you will narrow it down to two pages which are easy to go through.

Happy hunting,
dave

It's a good thing you don't know anything about that, right Josh?  I remember reading that thread and laughing a little, then I bought some NE5532 from Mouser and they ended up surface mount.  Like Billy Joel said, "Things I did not know at first, I learned by doing twice", or reading once and doing once. :icon_biggrin:
