one was to put a fuzz face in the feedback loop of tube screamer?

I'll take a guess!

"SSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS" (white noise)

Or:

"                                " (silence)

It'd turn the gain down, the DC resistance of the FF circuit is very high.
I strongly suspect it'd also distort the -input, which doesn't expect FF type output strength.
That's if it'd work at all, I'd say noise for sure, oscillation or signal cancelling, interesting circuit bend...with testclips, a FF and a TS, you could find out, I can't envision it'd necessarily damage anything, except maybe...well I'd do any initial testings with the volume not too high.

Ignoring the diodes and capacitor for a moment, and assuming that the signal frequency is above the 720 Hz rolloff point of the Zi network, the gain of the clipping stage is (51K + drive control)/4.7K. This means the gain of the whole stage can be varied by changing the drive control setting between 1 + (551K/4.7K)= 107 (about 44db) and 1+ (51K/4.7K), about 12.
So the opamp/circuit is looking for a resistance there to set gain.
Convention creates following, following creates convention.

I lol'd at the possibility. Some one needs to do this, in the name of science!
I love the smell of baked tubes in the morning.

No, I did the the tube screamer in the feedback loop of a fuzz face. This is different.  :icon_idea:
