Hi,

Rockby (based in Melbourne, Aus) have 4PDT relays on special here this weekend, 10 for $10.  I have no affiliation with them BTW

they are double coil latching 5v relays.  Gold plated contacts, etc etc.  I bought about 60 of them last time - and they work REALLY well for true bypass on pedals or in a switching system. - all you need is the relay ($1), a hex inverter, a SPDT momentary switch and a couple of resistors, diodes and caps - total cost about $4, much cheaper than a 3PDT. And you get a whole extra pole.  Or if you would prefer not to muck about with logic ICs, you can use a SPDT switch instead and forget the inverter.

More messing around, but if you incorporate the switching inverters/components onto your PCB/vero/perf, it's no more hassle than soldering a few more components.

Another possibility it brings along is remote switching.  There's a lot on geofex about remote switching.  Anyway, let me know if you have any questions.

They seem to have the special on fairly often - I'll let you know when it's next on because I keep my eye on that site quite a bit.
