just a heads up for anyone who hasn't tried this because they are stubborn like me:

after passing this stuff up for some time in lieu of the original formula i finally tried it, and it works really well. sets up in minutes and is cured in under an hour. really great, the only drawback is minimal work time.

If it's an epoxy (and i think it is - not available where i am) then, in general, the quicker setting the epoxy, the weaker the finished bond.

  Yupp, nasty stuff.
We glued a crack [a frouning leak caused by ice blowout] in 350 chevy engine block with the a 24 hour type, that winter the seal withstood 20 below to operating temperature, amazing glue.

I fixed a large crack in a dirt bike expansion chamber with it once.  I expected it to burn right off, but it held tight!
