Distortus Maximus/ Burning Crunch no output at all

I build distortus maximus with Daniel's mods. Using this schematic. With my own pcb design. I know pcb is perfect if there is no problem with the schematic. Eagle users know that.


I used bc549c instead of 2n5088. Iam know about pinout difference.

Iam getting no output but just constant background hissing noise. I triple checked wiring, soldering and component placement.

Wat should i do ?

Any similar experience ?

Do the volume and tone controls affect the hiss? If they do, that means the problem is coming before them, if not, it comes after them.

yes they do.

then. maybe the guitar signal is not getting into the board, or there´s something wrong with the transistor.. i suppose you used a socket?
