3 fuzzes in 1 box, single volume control?

Right now I have 2 fuzzes in one box, a fuzzrite and a bazzfuss.  Each has a separate 100k a pot for output volume.  I want to add a fuzz face that I breadboarded last nite (sounds pretty good).  To avoid having to add more holes (not sure if i even have room for another pot)  I had an idea to use a 2p6t rotary (from rad shack) in place of the dpdt i currently have to select between the fuzzes.  Then instead of having individual output volumes in each effect loop, I was gonna put the volume after the 6 way switch on the way to the output jack. Just want some opinions, will this work? (all 3 fuzz schems call for 100k audio pots). Logically thinking the circuit paths thru I can't see why it wouldn't, but maybe there is something i am missing?
Thanks,
Greg

the poles would be the "master" in/out, with 6 throws per pole i should have more than enuff switching. In other words, one pole would go back to the bypass/effect stomp switch, the other pole goes to the volume and then on its way out to the 1/4" jack.  3 throw pairs on the rotary go in and out of each circuit.

I suppose it could work, as long as you realize that you're not going to have the same volume level when you switch from one to another. Just because they're on the same pot doesn't mean a whole lot.

Other than that, it couldn't hurt to try :)

Yeah, I thought about that, and am still mulling that over. I could experiment with resistors to get the outputs to match before the volume, or better, use some trim pots, but it might be more work than i wanna put in.  now that i think about it, i might have room for another pot betwen the stomp and the rotary switch, might just leave them with individual volumes.  Will have to look at it when i get home.

Problem is, volume differential won't be static. It varies depending on how you have the fuzz control set on each circuit, etc.

I understand what you're saying, although in the case of the bazz fuss and the fuzz face, i built them using just the volume pot (no other gain or tone controls).  The fuzzrite does have a separate gain control, although i keep it at a sweetspot about 65 to 75 percent of full throttle.

Another thing in that helps to temper the vol difference, i run a compressor after said pedal. However, in the end, i think if i can find the room for that extra volume pot, i am leaning towards using 3 separate knobs. (Why separate knob, why?   :icon_lol:   <--obscure sienfeld reference that way)
