I have one 321hfe OC76 and no idea what to do with it. Any ideas?

I have this OC76 with acceptable leakage and 321hfe. Im not really sure what to make with it. I could presumably make a single transistor fuzz but I dont think it would produce enough gain to make diodes clip and get a decent amount of fuzz. Would something this hot bias up in a rangemaster circuit?

Gain doesn't have anything to do with bias does it?

I always get confused about that stuff when it comes to germanium transistors and the temperature and the phases of the moon...

you could build an electra distortion or easy drive. you have to adjust collector bias because of leakage and lower Vbe.

IIRC voltage gain is vg=rc/(re+k.T/e/ic).
As gain goes up vg tends to rc/re.
