Has anyone tried the M3 Semiconductor Analyzer Kit?

I want to get a semiconductor analyzer for testing germaniums but Im finding the Peak DCA55 to be super expensive and hard to find. Id rather not order from Europe and have to wait four or more weeks for it to arrive. I found this company — http://www.m3electronix.com/kit.html — makes a kit that seems to do all the same tasks for about half the price of the Peak unit. Has anyone tried it? Is there a reason to get the Peak over this kit? Seems like a pretty simple build.

Looks nice, I'm curious too. Seems to do all the "good stuff".

I just dont want to sit and do math for a whole bag of 150 transistors. Seems like its this $70 kit which is easy to order or the $140 Peak which is hard to find.

I've got about 800 russians germaniums...
The specs say that this analyzer with work with
or without the shunt resistor (That some russian GE devices have).
That's gotta be worth $70! :icon_lol:
