Hi,

I am using special aluminium profiles. But the main cons is that they are very expensive. It cost me approx. 40€ for 40cm length.

I made a 4 channel analog effect pedal: http://soundfreak.org/  Take a look under product name 3+.

Now I am curving some aluminum plates. Similar like those on geofx.

Best regards,
Nix

You can get rectangular aluminum extrusions of 1-2" depth and 4-6" width by up to 36" long pretty cheaply. I've posted this here before. It was an online metals sales place, perhaps "onlinemetals.com". But the search terms "R.G." and "extrusion" should turn it up.

In response to the questions in the forum - PCB Layout for Musical Effects is available from The Book Patch. Search "PCB Layout" and it ought to appear.

Hey deadastronaut, I think I will be able to get some aluminium extrusion like TheNixon used fairly cheap.  Maybe even free.

One of the companies I work with uses tons of it, they buty it in 5m lengths so I'm pretty sure they'll have some decent length offcuts that I can scavenge.

Won't be able to find out until Monday, but I'll let you know then.
