Jack Orman Fuzz Face Schematic

I am new to DYI stomps. I am building the Fuzz Face (http://www.muzique.com/schem/fuzzface3.gif) and I cant figure out what the X and Y are on the lower left of the PCB layout  (http://www.muzique.com/schem/fuzzface2.gif). I am also unsure as to how I exclue the DPDT switch. Also this page says there are 2 pots, I only see one (http://www.muzique.com/schem/projects.htm), Can some one help me.

There are two pots. Fuzz and Volume.
X and Y just refer to the circuit board
layout where it says x and y.

is there a reason X and Y or on a pad? look at the bottom layout (blue) http://www.muzique.com/schem/fuzzface2.gif, also can you tell me where i would make the connections for the pots?

Take a look at any fuzz face schematic and layout and compare.
Tonepad has the pot lugs labeled...as does General Guitar gadgets...
