How do you drill them without damaging the finnish

tape over where the hole will be drilled and you should be fine.  Always always always use a starter bit.

Thanks Jacob. The Maestro is in an old EHX Doctor Q that I hated and couldn't even give away. It's a great looking enclosure. Wish I knew where I could buy some like that. Any tips?

I think http://www.pedalenclosures.com/ have some similar style enclosures.

Those are well done swirls. I don't think I'll ever try to do swirls personally, but I do like looking at them.

I tried doing a swirl once and it was a total Fatality and Brutality, really bad... Better I keep on with my etchings...
I have used the YY enclosures from pedalenclosures, they're great. I have one of my pedals in the Builders menu of the website
